Getting Started with Your Linnpower Skateboard
Welcome to the Linnpower family! We’ve designed this guide to ensure your first ride is as safe as it is thrilling. While it covers technical details, reading this thoroughly is the best way to protect both yourself and your board.
First and most importantly: Always wear your full protective gear. We never know what the road might throw at us, so it’s always better to be over-prepared. Stay safe so you can keep shredding!
1. Quick Configuration Check
Your board and remote are pre-paired, but verifying your settings is crucial for accurate speed and range data.
- Motor Type: Belt (Note: Applies to Gear Drive models too!)
- Motor Pole Pairs: 7
*If you accidentally enter pairing mode, contact support before changing any values.
2. Hardware & Safety Check
Bushing Adjustments
Linnpower boards ship with slightly loose bushings to prevent premature wear. Do not over-tighten them immediately.
- Ride a few laps first to feel the turn and responsiveness.
- Adjust based on your weight and carving preference.
- Pro Tip: Ensure at least 2 threads are visible on the kingpin nut for a secure lock.
Critical: Tire Pressure Guide
Tires naturally lose pressure during transit. Check your PSI before the first ride to avoid rim damage or flats.
| Tire Type | Recommended PSI |
| 9", 8", 7", 165*65 & 165*72 Tires | 36–45 psi |
| 6" AT Tires | 30–36 psi |
| NEXT Racing Slicks | 25–30 psi (Standard) / 20–25 psi (Race) |
3. Drivetrain Maintenance
For Belt Drive Riders
- Tension: Press the belt; it should have a slight, springy rebound.
- Cleaning: Inspect for debris after every ride. A small pebble can destroy a belt instantly.
For Gear Drive Riders
Listen to your board. High-quality gear drives have a consistent mechanical hum. If you hear unexpected "clicking" or "grinding," stop riding and contact support immediately.
Wheel Axle Tip
After tightening the axle nuts, loosen them by 1/2 turn. This ensures bearings aren't crushed and can spin freely without clicking noises.
⚠️ Critical Safety Reminders
1. Brake Safety
Never ride downhill on a 100% full battery. Regenerative braking sends power back to the battery. If it's already full, the ESC may shut off to protect itself, resulting in a loss of brakes.
2. ESC Performance Optimization
For Hobbywing ESC: Turn off "R-LOS Autobrake" to prevent unexpected slowdowns.

For JECNN ESC (Purple Remote): We recommend "FULLSENSE" mode for the smoothest experience.
1. Press function button 8 times -> MOTOR RUN MOD -> FULLSENSE.
2. Run Motor Self-Learning.
3. Power cycle the board.

3. Lock Nut Replacement
If you feel little to no resistance when turning your axle or kingpin nuts with a T-tool, the nylon lock is worn out. Replace the nuts immediately to prevent them from vibrating loose during a ride.
*If you notice anything that feels off, please don't hesitate to contact us. Safety is our top priority!
4. Master the Board
Many new e-skate riders can’t wait to hit top speed just to see that number climb. But the faster you go, the more momentum your board builds, making falls more dangerous.
We recommend getting full control of your board first. Start at 10–20 mph and practice in various environments: turning corners, transitioning from sidewalks to streets, and riding on grass or gravel.
True riding enjoyment isn’t just about straight-line speed—it’s about mastering every aspect of your ride. Learn to control your board so speed is enjoyable, not scary.
Always wear protective gear and ensure your board settings are configured for your comfort. Stop riding immediately if you notice anything unusual.
