from 103 reviewsIt's taken me a while to write this because I've been just so impressed it's been hard to put into words. I've clocked 2000 trouble free kms in 2 months on my ER and think now is a good time. I'm glazing it a bit because I really, really, REALLY like it - but I'm going to try to be as balanced and thorough as possible. Long story short, I'm blown away with every single aspect of this board. It's made my commutes faster and safer, has been a joy for exploring the city and having fun on, zero problems, and is just top notch in every regard. It's what I've ALWAYS wanted in an esk8. So, SO happy I bought it.
I wanted a board I could keep up with moderate speed traffic on, a board with range to get all the way across my giant city and explore without worrying about range, a board I could trust. It's more than delivered on every count. In these two months, I've honestly had some peak life experiences on this board, it's been that good.
Pros:
- Great acceleration, easily out accelerates cars off stop lights. Near motorcycle acceleration from a stop, good rolling punch. I've taken it to 65km/hr.
- Stability. Even going over torn up roads at speed, it's very confidence inspiring. With my current bushings, feels rock solid until near 60km/hr while it's still carvable and nimble.
- Amazing brakes, can confidently go down even the steepest hills without worry that brakes won't be able to handle it, and great in traffic.
- Unbeatable value for specs/quality.
- Range, I've been getting 50km+ on the ER at ~120kg, riding hard on pneumatics in extremely hilly terrain.
- Stellar and flawless build quality.
- Looks SO cool.
- Quieter than other gear drives I've used, seems really solid.
- Customer Support - quick to respond, excellent English, really knows the product and sport, passionate and cares.
- Tires (the ER tires say they are 'racing only' but they work great on rough and broken road surfaces, grass, light moisture - they are amazing grippy general city tires). At 2000kms original tires are still going strong. Haven't had a flat yet.
- Remote isn't fancy, but feels premium with aluminum wheel and is excellent. Zero micro-disconnects so far.
- Genius wheel design allows changing tires with no tools.
- Really like the top mounted charging port, top mounted ESC is clever and unobtrusive.
- Overall ride feel and comfort. Perhaps I liked the feel of my much loved Carbon Zeus Pro a tiny, tiny bit more, but the advantages this has over that are too numerous to count, and...well, my Zeus had frequent issues and is now broken, while this is still riding like new. No other board I've owned even compares in terms of overall feel.
Cons:
- Bushings it ships with are too hard to really be usable; budget another $20 for different bushings. Something like 99a(stock)/95a rear, 92a/90a front (barrels, and just a guess as I experimented from a bag of unmarked bushings I had until I was happy). Of course, dialing in the bushings are something you should do on every board, as the right setup depends on your weight and preference.
- No VESC fine tuning - acceleration/braking curves are perfect for me though.
- No built in lights. I far prefer high end flashlights/head lamps/helmet mounted LED blinkers, find low set board mounted headlights useless. I'm happy they put money into huge battery instead of things like this or VESC.
- Heavy - STRONGLY recommend buying the carry handle. Carts much better upside down.
- Doesn't have any sort of 'trick' truck system like channels etc. The TKPs it has are excellent, though.
- White motors discolor quickly.
- No official IP waterproof rating. However, they told me in chat that it does have very good water ingress protection (and I've ridden in the rain several times). But they officially advise against it and didn't want to IP certify/guarantee it. Note the ESC being on top naturally protects it from puddle splashes.
- Wide turn radius
Note that I had to stretch to write these cons; none are really flaws, just design decisions.
All in all, honestly it's a 10/10. If you're thinking of buying a longboard style esk8, you should look hard at this board, and it should probably be the one you go with. If you go cheaper, you'll likely be disappointed and might have to pay more for parts/maintenance (although other cheaper Linnpowers like the EVO MK-1 look awesome as well). You probably won't get a substantially better experience spending a lot more. This is the sweet spot, sets a new standard in every way, and should be on everyone's shortlist.
Note I haven't really done any off road on it or any jumping; just street riding, although often on really torn up streets.

I bought the rooster off a lady on FB Marketplace selling stickers for wheelie bins. Cut it...
Amazing amazing amazing 🤩
I swap pushing to black tightening back pushing more than front one
Add the 13t gear ⚙️ less and smoother throttle for the one prime
Lower the deck from original set up ( not racing kit )
Now it’s way more stable and easier throttle curve , the board is a piece of Art very comfortable more controlled with no wobble at 60 km/h 😍
Okay so I've been riding eskate for about 3 years, more of a hobby for me. Skated for over ten years in my youth so I got hooked to this!!
But as soon as I started I wanted to be able to go off the beating path from the start, finally I had been searching for the perfect board at a good price, what really got me on board with this board was the easy inner tube change system and this sweet sweet look of the board! Not to mention that 1000$ price tag.
I went on my first ride just about 5 miles, mostly off-road through grass, up grassy hills and a bit in dirt.. just smashed through it with no problem! It was different from what I was use to from the zealot s2 though, so I had to get use to it.. but didn't take long.
The only downside for me was the ride height, I knew this going in so I was not surprised and I'll likely invest in the 9 inch wheels later. Also binding I think will be a list for me!
Easily this is the board I've been wanting and i will never turn back now! Off road boards are the way to go! Handle on road and off road! Can't wait to see what else it can do! Got a list of places to go shred in Tennessee!
So stable and so fast its actually insane. I thought it would be to short for me (im 6ft) but its perfect. 10/10 or 5/5 stars I love this board.
Une qualité et une fiabilité remarquable les gens sont d'une précision perfect et je les recommande vivement.
Le conditionnement de l'emballage est certainement le meilleur de toutes les marques
I bought the One Prime. Sport Plus mode demands respect. Scary amount of power. What's even better than the insane power is how well it handles. Carves great and is very stable at speed. The ext racing slicks are phenomenal. Cannot recommend this board enough if you are an adrenaline junky. Just be careful, the boards like a rattlesnake, you have to respect it. Or it may bite you back. Seriously though, love Linnpower. Just bought an OX while it's on sale for New Years
This board is the user friendly and unbendable non maintenance 3-link truck. As nimble as a mach 1 or stooge raceboard and as stable as a lacroix at high speeds.
With the race kit, the foot stance becomes a little bit wider so you can use more power. Very compact raceboard with perfect materials. Sleek beautifull and polished. It screams race genetics. The lowering kit provides not only a wider footstance but it is on the same height as the wheels center.
The acceleration is out of the world, i still did not use full power and i own a mach 1 and had lacroix nazare and i could do full throttle with both. So new power level, new nimbelness, the worlds first hybrid production race and street board that ticks all the boxes.
Customer service 10/10
There is realy no other word except PERFECTION for this company...
Hey potential linnpower purchaser. Let me help you make the right decision! Last year I bought the mk1 pro and proceeded to abuse it offroad almost every day to the tune of 2000+ miles about 65% of that in the unforgiving Sonoran desert of arizona. That board is still going strong i would like to add.
This brings me to the OX. And all I can say is wow!!! Extremely fast! Extremely quick! And the only board electric or otherwise that somehow gets more stable the faster you go!!! Last week I hit a pb top speed of 43 miles an hour!!! I had no idea i was going that fast.
Solid engineering, top notch unbeatable customer service and pricing that's setting market standards!!! Pick a linnpower board you won't be dissapointed!!!
This griptape was a bigger upgrade than I had imagined. Buy with confidence. Noticable performance upgrade. It looks awesome too!
I race The One- Prime, this kit transformed my board into a racetrack beast. Dropping the deck improved every aspect of race handling. The new grip tape is comfortable. The pre-cut binding holes was helpful guidance. The foot stop/kick plate is perfectly designed. Installation was made simple with LINNPOWER’s youtube instructional video.
I cannot praise this esk8 enough! I've owned 4 esk8s from different manufacturers and finally decided to buy something that will last and cater to my driving style.
If you decide to join the Linnpower family (trust me, the community and support feels just like a second family), you won't regret it.
When you order yours, I strongly suggest getting 8" wide wheels for the street and a set of rim rings to support 9" offroad tires. Put those on, slap on Trampa bindings and experience snowboarding on offroad trails where you'd normally traverse on a mountain bike.
Want to cruise on the street glued to the road, switch over to 8" wide tires and push the throttle to the max and speed 63kmh without fear of speed wobbles.
This is THE BEST ALL AROUNDER EVER MADE.
I can only say wow when it comes to quality and resilience. I've done a few mountain trips and thousands of km in the city and i can say they are the most comfortable and have the best grip ive had until now
I’m writing this review after 300 km with this GD. I bought the gear drive for a DIY build, mainly because it’s the only metal gear drive option for Flux Motion available in Europe. I was kind of hoping it would be quiet — and it definitely isn’t. But you know what? The sound is absolutely awesome… angry and aggressive in the best way!
The package even included motor spacers, so I didn’t have to shorten the motor shaft. Installation was very straightforward and the gear drive works perfectly! I definitely recommend it.
The support that helped me with the order was great as well!
Feels like cheating - getting the snowboard vibes in the city while commuting to work.
I love this board, i really do. The only thing I didn't love was waiting for it to arrive, approx. 3 months to Europe. But boy, I ride it every day now! Can't think of what more could I want from an e-board.
